Take an orange, grate the peel and then, dividing it into 2, squeeze the juice, which must be filtered (remember that you need 180 grams of juice).
Now take care of the dough: sift the 00 flour and the baking powder into a bowl.
Pour the sugar into the bowl of a planetary mixer, add the butter at room-temperature cut into cubes and operate the machine with the whisk until the mixture is puffy and creamy.
While the planetary mixer is running, add the eggs (at room temperature) one at a time, the grated peel of oranges and add the sifted powders, a spoon at a time.
When the dough has absorbed all the flour, pour the orange juice slowly without turning off the machine.
When the mixture is homogeneous, turn off the planetary mixer and pour the mixture into a pan with a diameter of 24 cm previously greased and lined with baking paper.
At this point, cook the orange cake in a prewarmed static oven at 170 ° for 35 minutes.
When cooked, take the cake out of the oven, let it cool and then turn it out onto a serving dish and sprinkle the surface with icing sugar to taste.
The orange cake is now ready to be enjoyed!
